Golden sands, the sound of the ocean, but this is no luxury hen party holiday … Come rain or shine, some vigorous entertainment on the seafront will get your girly group invigorated. Designed with California Beach fun in mind, this certainly promises some blazing action and you'll definitely be getting wet and wild with at least five crazy physical feats to test your stamina and your problem solving skills, with some team-on-team competition to drive you on.
To warm up Seaweed is a tag style chase game where avoiding a tackle is the aim and you'll soon tone up your tushes running on that slippery sand. Earn more team points with the Board Dig, involving a surfboard and a bottle of champagne (always an incentive) and a little test for the old grey matter. The Bodyboard Paddle Relay will tune up your boarding skills when it's sink or swim in this sea-bound scramble to be the first around the waterbound marker and back, but if your ball skills aren't as good as your boarding for Killer Baseball you could set things back to zero. Less bitching and more pitching is the answer as your aim is to hit a home run or stop the opposition from doing so.
Penalty points will also drive you batty, but it's better than getting caught or run out in this against-the-clock frenzy. Anderson-up for the Lifeguards Flag Test, another endurance speed chase on the golden ground or perhaps the female hand-eye coordination will serve you better in the Ultimate Frisbee Challenge and decide who the champions really are. This isn't just throw and catch, oh no, you're actually aiming at a target (like bowls on air) and the nearest wins.
This is a selection of the popular Cornish Games on offer there's plenty more to choose from. The five Cornish Challenge games that you play will vary depending on the weather, wind and waves on the day. A trained lifeguard and surf instructor will put you through your initial paces, mmmm yummy, to make sure you know the safety codes, plus all equipment and wetsuits are supplied – oh, and winners jerseys and bottle of bubbly to prove you really did Beat the Beach.
