Eat your heart out Whacky Races, the stock car racing challenge day of driving madness is about to begin. You’ll need both hands on the wheel to get you through the heats for the championship final. Then it’s off-road power sliding, rockin’ and rollin’ in the Reliant Robin Del Boy challenge, blindfolded bravery for the Nag Drag and dancing-with-the-cars in the Push-me-Pull-you madcap marathon. Then have a look at how it should be done with the stockcar pro movie before receiving your trophies and getting a nice pat on the back. Sensible drivers need not apply.
Eat your heart out Whacky Races; a variety of car racing challenge brings together the weird and the wonderful in a full throttle day of driving madness.
From jalopies to more F1 looking vehicles this action packed marathon of motoring has you jumping in and out of different driving styles and conditions mixing up track and off road circuits. Coaching from professional drivers will rev you up before you burn up a day complete with commentators, marshals and pace cars. The atmosphere is frantic and fantastic with a competitive edge, although this is definitely about the fun of taking part.
The main event, the Dodgems and Stockcar Championship takes you through a practice session and two heats where you score points for your big final. Then you’re gridded up for a race to the finish.
In the Off-Road Rally power-sliding is obligatory (and unavoidable) and so seems to be the phrase ‘aaaaarrghhh!’. If we said the Del Boy challenge, you’d think Reliant Robins, and you’d be right. These race-prepared golden oldies love to rock and roll, literally, against (and around) the clock. The Nag Drag (where do they get these names?) tests your powers of trust and communication as you drive blindfolded around a tricky circuit guided by your mate in the passenger seat, oh and you have to balance a ball on the bonnet incase you find things too easy – think a life sized labyrinth game on wheels. The Push-me-Pull-you (it’s a car guys, honestly!) has two engines, two drivers and two steering wheels and one mission - to have you twisting and shouting in ridiculous dancing car fashion.
Finally wind down with a movie of the real pros in stockcar action. Racetrack refreshments included, and winners of the day receive trophies and prizes in a celebratory ceremony and speeches, then it’s off to the bar.
