If you all love crazy motorsports and fancy doing something that bit different, then these babies will bring you some very alternative manoeuvres. Still very safe, with the roll cage, low chassis and wide axel structure, the Powerturn Buggies are rather more primitive in their steering design but the principle and results are ingenious. Think Mad Max meets Whacky Races, where two of you (though you can go it alone) are in a vehicle which is directed by you each pulling a lever instead of a steering wheel, which power two engines and there are no pedals either, though what you will need is great communication between you; yes generally a lot of yelling and dictatorial expletives! What this achieves is amazing on-the-spot spins and brilliant wheelies at a low speed but with a high adrenalin rush. Be warned, this activity has been known to start divorces, end bromances and divide neighbours!
If you do go solo the pace is a little quicker and you’ll be flying around at up to 30mph – not sounding fast enough? Well trust us, these are often speedier round the track than conventionally steered vehicles, with far greater movement, acceleration and cornering abilities. Handbrake turns have nothing on this and that out-of-control feeling soon becomes addictive.
