In a nutshell, cliff jumping is canyoning without the ropes. Not for the faint hearted, definitely for getting the adrenalin pumping, this activity cannot be beaten.
The trickiest aspect of cliff jumping is cajoling yourself to jump off a cliff in the first place!
Jump off a sufficiently intimidating sheer cliff with enough water at the bottom of it to cushion your fall, the seconds it takes from leaving the cliff seems to be curiously distorted as you plummet into the icy cold water below. As you break the surface there's only one thought in your head. AGAIN!
Your group will jump from a cliff onto a soft spot of river; you will start at around 15 feet and move up from there as your confidence grows. You'll be taught the correct techniques for jumping and entering the water correctly, qualified instructors will watch how you jump, and as soon as your technique is good enough, they will take you to the next level..higher and higher.
