Here at DesignaVenture towers we get asked a lot of questions, don't get us wrong we love to answer your questions however at 3am in the morning you may struggle to get an instant reply, so we have put together some frequently asked questions to help you get the best from your stag do, hen party or activity break with DesignaVenture.
Q.1 - How much is the initial deposit if I'm booking 5+ weeks in advance?
Your total group deposit to get your weekend or event held off is only £30, if you're booking flights then you may need to pay more we will advise you at enquiry stage.
Q.2 - I don't know my exact numbers yet, how can I book?
All we require at the time of booking is your rough group size and a single £30 deposit. You can then cancel people off or add people once you are sure of your finalised group size, subject to availability.
Q.3 - Can you cater for large groups?
Absolutely, we are a stag and hen company and helping large groups have a fantastic event/break/weekend is part of what we do every day.
Q.4 - What about if I'm booking within 5 weeks of departure?
Within 5 weeks of departure you may need you to pay in full, saying that, if you are booking late we may be able to put together some special terms for your group such as book it now for £30 and then pay in full within 48 hours etc. We can even send you a link for you to share with each member of your group where they can pay for their share directly to us.
Q.5 - What about the per person deposits and when are they due?
We highly recommend you get people to commit to your stag do or hen party, so a £30 per person deposit is the best way and we ask for this 2 weeks after you have paid your initial deposit. If you prefer not to pay the per person deposit and just want to pay the whole balance 5 weeks before you go, please let us know at time of booking.
Booking through DesignaVenture really can be stress-free as people can pay us their deposit and balance directly instead of you having to chase your mates for money. A simple link shared on WhatsApp or email will give everyone the easy option of paying us securely online using their credit or debit card or even their PayPal account - please see next question.
Q.6 - Can I get my friends to pay individually instead of having to collect all the money in myself?
Absolutely, there are two ways of doing this:
- In your email booking confirmation you will receive a link which you can share with each member of your group for them to pay us directly.
- Alternatively you can go to your membership area and share the booking, invite people to pay their deposit, their balance and also view who's paid.
When someone pays you will receive an email with an up to date list of who has paid.
Q.7 - Is transport included in my package or activity?
This does depend on which package or activity you're booking. Rule of thumb is; if it doesn't mention transport in your bullet points or description then transport is not included, however if you're still unsure give us a ring on 01432 830000.
Q.8 - What about if some people don't pay?
It's simple, don't pay for them, just cancel them off the booking free of charge. Please note, minimum numbers apply to some bookings.
Q.9 - What about if people want to add on?
That's easy, just pick up the phone or drop us an email and let us know, they can either pay us directly or if they've paid you, use our pay online facility or call us on 01432 830000 to pay, obviously subject to availability, but we will always try our best to get your extra stragglers onboard.
Q.10 - What if I want to change my booking?
We understand that you may not get it right the first time, not everyone wants to play paintball or go surfing so just give us a ring on 01432 830000 and we will amend your booking to suit. Please note this is subject to availability and changing your booking outside of 28 days to your departure date or if there are special booking conditions attached to your booking (which we will make you aware of at time of booking).
Q.11 - How do I know where I'm going?
Once you have paid in full we send you an Essential Travel Pack via email, if you would like a hard copy please let us know at your balance stage.
Your Essential Travel Pack is a PDF booklet which can be easily read on any smart phone/device/laptop or be printed off so you can take it with you. We highly recommend you forward this email to all members of your group so they have all the information needed during the weekend.
Q.12 - What's included in my Essential Travel Pack?
Your "Essential Travel Pack" includes maps, directions, addresses important phone numbers, dress codes and all the other important information needed to have an epic time.
Q.13 - How do I contact you whilst on my break?
Your Essential Travel Pack email includes our "Out Of Hours" phone number, within DesignaVenture's office hours you can call us on 01432 830000.
Q.14 - What about if I want to cancel my booking?
In the unfortunate circumstance that you need to cancel your booking, the lead name will need to advise us in writing via e-mail. All deposits are non-refundable however, if you are cancelling outside of 28 days and there are no special booking conditions we will refund anyone who has paid more than their deposit, as far as we are aware no other stag or hen company does this!
Although we operate a non-refundable deposit, we do allow you to re-use this deposit for up to 12 months, giving you the opportunity to rebook and get the job done properly.
However, cancelling within 28 days of departure will mean 100% loss of monies paid.
Q.15 - Can males come on my hen party and vice versa?
Of course, we do not discriminate, some best men are actually women so really should be called the best woman. I've never known a male bridesmaid however I am sure they exist!
Q.16 - What if I or a member of my group has a disability?
Safety is our main priority and if you have booked an activity we must make sure that each member of the group can perform that activity as safely as possible, so please make sure that you advise us at time of booking so we can give you the best advice and service possible.
Q.17 - Who are DesignaVenture?
DesignaVenture was set up in 2003 with the main aim to provide epic stag weekends, fabulous hen parties and brilliant activity breaks with the best customer service in the world. Q.18 - Is my money safe when booking with DesignaVenture?
100%, not only are we ATOL protected, we also do not see a penny of your money until after your break has happened using a specifically designed Trust Account run by PayPal and Thorne Widgery, our Peace Of Mind explains all.
Q.19 - Do you offer an independent review facility?
