How To Amsterdam Campaign

Amsterdam main train station

There’s been a lot of hype in the press over the last few days about the new campaign brought out by the Dutch authorities “How To Amsterdam”. The online campaign is targeting British Males of 18 – 35 years old, saying if you plan to have a wild, messy night, don’t come to Amsterdam.

The first thought is well this is discrimination against the Brits and in a world of woke, against British men. Thinking about it logically; whenever you see an advert online, a huge amount of these adverts have been targeted at you by taking into consideration your interests, your age, your gender etc.

What the Amsterdam authorities are doing is targeting one of the demographics that tend to get messy on a night out.

They are not saying or enforcing a ban on British men between the ages of 18 – 35 years old.

One of the messages state: “Coming to Amsterdam for a messy night + getting trashed = €140 fine + criminal record = fewer prospects.”

“So coming to Amsterdam for a messy night? Stay away.”

So if you have booked or planning on booking a stag weekend to Amsterdam, before you go, make sure you understand the consequences involved if you decide to “get messy”. Over the next couple of years and possibly more, if you do get “messy” the authorities will want to make an example of you.
