Stag Do Adventure Weekends For The Adrenaline Junkies

So the stag loves adventure and is addicted to adrenaline sports, so where do you start? What type of stag Do would interest him?

Well, luckily I have just put together a small list of stag Do ideas and activities to give an ideas on what’s on offer.

Let’s start with Newquay or Bournemouth and the fantastic activity of coasteering, throwing yourself off cliffs into a swollen sea may not be your cup of tea however it may make the stag more excited than a 5 year old in an all you can eat sweet shop.

It’s not just about throwing yourself off cliffs, you get to traverse sheer rock faces and explore sea caves, and with all your kit included you just have to turn up in your shorts and trainers.

Similar to Coasteering you have canyoning or gorge scrambling / walking. Walk behind waterfalls, dive into deep pools and explore a rural gorge you would never usually get to see.

This activity is available in North or South Wales, the highlands of Scotland and around the lake district.

Again all your specialised equipment is included (wet suit, helmets etc.) so all you need is trainers you don’t mind getting wet and something to wear under your wetsuit.

Abseil down 80ft of rock and put a smile on your stags face, or if you really want to punish your stag group take them bungee jumping off a bridge in Bratislava, Riga or Prague.

A bit of a curve ball, make your stag party make like hamsters and roll them down a hill inside a huge ball, this is better known as Zorbing and over the last few years has been extremely popular.

There are simply loads of activities and ideas for your Stag do available all over the stag section of our website.

Looking For A Quick Getaway?

When the sun is shining in the UK there is no better place to be, and one of the best places to have your last minute celebration whether you’re on a hen or stag do is Bournemouth.

The beach in Bournemouth is clean, the water is clear and the weather on this south coast is usually the hottest in the UK, recent temperatures have hit 30 degrees Celsius.

So you just need to pack your bucket and spade, frisbee, bat and ball and head to the south coast.

But hold on, all the hotels are fully booked, how can I get my hen or stag party down there?

Well luckily that’s where DesignaVenture come’s in, we have a list of hotels as long as both your arms and both your dangly legs. All we need to know is when you want to go, how many people and for how long we can then find you a hotel quicker then then you can say “I DON’T LIKE SALT ON MY CHIPS”.

At night once you have creamed your sunburnt bodies Bournemouth has some fantastic restaurants, bars and clubs with an atmosphere good enough to cuddle making it one of the best destination for your hen or Stag do, especially when the weather is so fine.

Groom Kidnapped By His Own Stag Party

Man HandcuffedAccording to the Daily Mail, a week before his Stag do, Ollie McAninch was minding his own business sat in the passenger seat of his fiancé’s car when 16 masked men intercepted the car with smoke grenades and bats and bundled the 33 year old stag into the back of a van.

This is a stag prank like no other, he was then driven a 100 miles and dumped in a mankini with a bike, a map and instructions stating he would have to cycle 10 miles to his stag do (which he thought was the following weekend).

His wife to be was in on it and the whole operation seems to have gone like clockwork. The only downside was Ollie the stag, developed shingles which he says was from the trauma from the kidnapping.

Remember; stag prank responsibly people!

Our Booking Terms Have Just Got Easier

From now on when booking your Stag Do, Hen Party or Activity Break on your group’s behalf, you will only have to put down a £60 deposit (per group, not per person).

We then ask, 2 weeks after the booking date, for the rest of the group to confirm their places with a £30 per person deposit.

This can be paid either individually or collected in by you as the organiser (see payment tips below).

We have also just recently added a member’s area where you can share your book and invite group members to go online and pay their deposit or final balance.

So why have we changed our booking terms?

It’s really to help you get firm commitment from your party especially when you are booking early.

For example, say you ask group members in February “are you up for a stag do in June?” The overall consensus is yes, book it, we are there.

DesignaVenture’s old terms meant there was no financial commitment needed from the guys until 5 weeks before you go, and by then they could of booked a family holiday or just haven’t considered it for their future plans.

So getting the group to commit financially early on will elevate the problem of mass exodus at your balance stage.

Payment Tips
In order to make things easier for you the organiser, DesignaVenture has set up three ways the deposit and final balance can be paid.

Once you have booked we will set you up online a membership area where you can sign in and start sharing the booking with members of your group, inviting them to pay either their deposit or final balance for their part of your break.

Once you have booked we will advise you of your booking ID – you can pass this booking ID to members of the group so they can call up, quote the booking ID, and pay for their deposit or balance.

If you want to keep a cap on it, so you can make sure people cough up on time then this approach may suit you best. You can collect all the monies in, in person and then call us up and pay.

Good luck with it all, and if you need further details give us a call, as cheesy as it sounds, we are here to help.
