The Stag Party (sorry Hens) goes back as far as Henry the eighth times,
wow he must have been sick of em! Anyway, he would command you to attend
his last night of Freedom (well one of his last night of Freedom) by
either a town crier or by royal letter on pain of death!
Some historians even think it may have started a lot earlier than that,
in Ancient Greek times, you had the Greek god Pan who was the lover of
merry noise. The Romans had their fun too, Bacchus was the Roman god of
wine. Even the Celts enjoyed their stag nights with Cernunnos, the Celtic
god of initiation ceremonies.
Whatever back ground you come from there is no getting away with the
fact that marriage is possibly the most important decisions of your life
(tell that to Henry the Eighth, go on I dare you!). So what better way to
say good bye to singleville then to have a huge, whopper of an
unforgettable weekend or night in your honour.
The bachelor or Bachorlerette party in days of old usually included a
