Important information before travelling
1 ~ Please remember there is no such thing as a free lunch. When you get offered free drinks, there will always be a catch, do not enter these clubs / strip clubs or bars.
2 ~ When paying for an item in a store or restaurant, place the money in the small tray on the counter. It is not considered polite to hand the money direct to the cashier.
3 ~ When riding a bus or tram, each car has a conductor. Give them your fair (coin “20”) directly and they will give you a ticket, they do not give change! Combinations of coins totalling 20 Santims is ok.
4 ~ Be careful crossing the street, pedestrian rights are not observed.
5 ~ Beware of taxi drivers overcharging, especially at the bus station.
6 ~ Riga is like most large cities, there is potential for pickpockets, petty crimes, personal assaults & robberies. Be aware of your surroundings, when out in your groups keep as low-key as possible as this will help to avoid potential problems & situations.

Thanks for sorting out what turned out to be a superb weekend in Nottingham. The karting the best fun you can have on four wheels. Then Paint balling excellent. Friendly staff greeted us at our hotel which was clean
and tidy. The nightclub was the best club we have ever been to. Brilliant DJ's and music. Great weekend, minimal travelling between locations, easy to find and good value for money. Great job. Many many thanks. Steve.
