Planning the Stag Weekend ~ You need to delegate as many jobs to
the best man as possible, if the best man is to busy or just crap then try
and get the ushers to take control. Organising a stag weekend and getting
around all your mates collecting money is a full time job, your brain
power will be needed arranging transport for the big day, arranging suits
for you and the boys, choosing flowers with the wife, organising the order
of service, booking the church, organising your wedding bands as well as
your wedding band!
Organising a weekend for the boys demands a lot of time and energy, so
if you can delegate this job to your best man or chief usher this will
keep you in the good books with the future Mrs, if its unavoidable and you
have the time, we at Designaventure will help as much as possible.
The Speech ~ You have one major tradition to keep up, toast the
bridesmaids, it doesn’t matter how ugly they are you must tell them they
look a beautiful. You must also thank special family & friends who
have helped arrange this special day, this also includes giving out
flowers with the most special bouquets going to the Mum’s. Finally you
must, I repeat must tell everyone how beautiful your new wife looks, how
wonderful she is and why you married her. There are many grooms who have
forgotten about their stunning wives and still hear about it 25 years on!
One thing to remember ~ The wedding day is a special day for both
you and the bride, so you need to make it as special for you as it is for
her. Take 5 minutes out with the new wife every couple of hours just to
keep yourself grounded and to soak it all in. Your wedding day will go
quicker than an Aston Martin DB9, so try and remember this very special
day.
