Stag & hen weekends are getting more extravagant, gone are the days
of a few drinks in your local boozer, it’s now a few weeks in Ibiza!
That is extreme, but the way things are going it would not surprise us
that in a couple of years time two weeks in the sun to celebrate the last
days of freedom will be the norm.
With the following information in mind you will be well equipped for
booking your break abroad, it is not our intention to scaremonger but to
be clear from the start and to make sure the party leader is well
informed, making his or her booking as stress free as possible.
The Booking
Whether you’re booking 6 or 30 people for your venture abroad you
must get the basic details right.
Names ~ All the names in your group must be spelt exactly like they
are on their passport, airlines are very stringent and will charge an
administration fee just to change a letter!
Dates ~ If you have booked the wrong dates airlines again will
charge to move the booking or treat the change as a cancellation, so be
sure to check the dates with all the party.
Cancellations ~ Make sure you collect all the deposits from each
individual member of the group before booking as once you have confirmed,
airlines will not refund deposits even with 8 months notice.
Pricing ~ When checking availability we will quote you on prices of
flights on that day, if you come back to us within 24 hours the prices are
more then likely to remain the same, if it takes you 24 days to get the
deposits in, the price may change.
Booking conditions ~ Please make sure everyone in the party
understands the booking conditions before booking.
Unfortunately the bigger your group does not necessarily mean the
cheaper the price, airlines will sell a limited amount of cheap seats and
then the prices will gradually increase on the remaining seats, with the
last seats selling at their highest rack rate. Also bear this in mind when
adding people onto the booking, their prices may be higher than what you
paid.
This does not mean Designaventure will not be able to get you cheap
breaks, we have access to all the airlines including the low cost and
scheduled carriers such as British Airways and Easyjet, we also make sure
the hotels give us their best rates so you won’t get over charged by a
zealous hotel manager!
